There’s nothing like that first euphoric moment just after unboxing
your new iPad Air or Retina iPad mini. What usually follows is five to 10
minutes of marveling over the care and consideration Apple design chief
Jony Ive put into the packaging. That includes playing with those tiny
plastic doodads you’ll inevitably have to discard at some point. But that
was all just a tease leading up to the good stuff. Finally, after all
the highfalutin commercial spots, media hype about supply shortages and
unsuccessful attempts by competitors to sully the iPad's image, you
finally have one of your very own. Now you’re just wondering how to
harness all that pencil-thin tablet power sitting in your hands.Rest
assured, we have several suggestions designed to get you successfully up
and running with the most popular tablet on the market. The good news:
Aside from certain size-dependent apps, the setup and experience for the
iPad Air and Retina iPad mini are almost identical. To keep things
simple, we’ll focus on those with a Wi-Fi version of the device. After
selecting your language and country preferences, pick a Wi-Fi network
and enable your location services. Then, you’ll be prompted to either
sign up for iCloud (Apple’s online backup storage service) or sign into
your existing iCloud account. Of course, you also have the option of
simply ignoring this prompt, after which you can immediately begin using
your iPad.
Apple’s iOS 7 comes with a wealth of preinstalled
services, including iWork and iLife, which offer a wide array of
productivity and communication tools. But when it comes to apps,
everyone has a different idea of "essential." We suggest the following
if you truly want to boost the functionality of your new tablet.Google
Maps: Yes, Apple has its own maps app, which is quite beautiful. But
let’s be honest, when you’re on the go,wheel balancer you
don’t have time for "good enough" — you want the best. Google Maps
(free in the Apple app store) is one of the top mobile map solutions for
iOS.Twitter: Just a few years ago,MB STAR it
would have been a stretch to call Twitter an essential app. But with
this free app, the 24/7 news cycle is just a tap away, and it's an easy
way to share your story if you find yourself a witness to a major event.tire changer (Personally,
I prefer Tweetbot ($2.99), which offers more functionality, but either
will serve your tweeting needs just fine.)GoodReader: Using the iPad
like a traditional laptop or desktop can be frustrating due to its
mobile-first operating system, which doesn’t offer a robust file
management system. GoodReader ($4.99) stores PDFs, books, images and a
wide range of text documents in a file system similar to that of a
traditional desktop or laptop operating system. If you’re managing
serious text and documents on the iPad, especially if you aren’t using a
cloud service, GoodReader can be a lifesaver.Lookout: Apple packed a
lot of power into the iPad’s svelte design, making it one of the most
powerful, light and thin tablets on the market. Unfortunately, that
enhanced portability also means that the iPad is pretty easy to lose
while traveling or commuting. Lookout is a free app that helps you find a
lost device by sounding an alarm and automatically backing up your
contacts.
Apple also offers Find My iPhone, another useful
security app. However, Apple’s app requires the use of iCloud, a
stipulation that could hold back users uninterested in opting into
Apple’s cloud storage system. Now that we have the essentials out of the
way, it's time time to have some fun. Of the over 350,000 native iPad
apps in Apple's App Store, you'll never run out new games, productivity
tools and utility apps to try on your own, but before you dive in, we
recommend that you give these popular apps a try first.YouTube: Like
Google Maps, YouTube is no longer a native part of iOS, but it's still
one of the best ways to watch and share videos on your iPad. The iOS 7
version of the free app is extremely slick and shows off just how much
work Google put into streamlining its suite of apps.Skype: Walking
around with the thin slab in your hands and talking to someone on the
other side of the world is like holding a magic mirror. It’s a free
download, so you have no excuse for not experimenting with the video
messaging app.

GM Uses Digital Tools to Improve Car Design
Precision not patriotism is the focus of red, white and blue light
scanning used by General Motors’ Competitive Benchmarking team to
surgically dissect competitor vehicles. The high-tech search for what is
good and bad is conducted about three dozen times a year globally with
models strategically selected that are all-new or feature industry-first
systems and technologies. The light scanners mathematically capture
precise 3D images of vehicle structures and components. Complete sets of
scans become reverse-engineered computer models for comparing to GM
designs. The lessons learned from such comparisons drive cost and mass
reductions as well as quality improvements in Chevrolet, Cadillac,BMW ISIS Buick
and GMC vehicles with each model year. The team also dismantles and
scans GM vehicles to validate parts, quality check manufacturing
processes and troubleshoot part irregularities.“3D scanning is a
time-efficient and cost-effective way of keeping up with rapid
advancements being made all over the industry,” said Larry Pecar, senior
supervisor, GM Competitive Benchmarking. “The technology also allows us
to gain a better understanding of the reasons for other automakers’
recalls so that we are better able to avoid making the same mistakes.China visa houston”

Wheel alignment refers to the geometrical relationship of the wheels
Wheel alignment refers to the geometrical relationship of the wheels
to the vehicle itself, to each other and to the road. Ideally, all
wheels ought to be aimed straight ahead, parallel to each other,
perpendicular to the road and perpendicular to their respective
axles.More than half the confidential business information claims that
the Environmental Protection obd2.
This will produce the least amount of rolling resistance, the least
amount of friction, the least amount of tire wear and the greatest
traction. The basic alignment angles we are speaking about here are toe,
camber and caster.Toe is the most important wheel alignment angle
because it has the greatest effect on tire wear. Toe refers to the
parallelism between the wheels as viewed from above and is usually
measured in inches or millimeters. When both front wheels are aimed
straight ahead and the distance between the leading edges of both front
tires is exactly the same as the distance between the trailing edges,
the wheels have ‘zero toe’ and are theoretically aligned. We say in
theory because toe alignment changes when the vehicle is being
driven. The joints and sockets in the suspension and steering linkage all
have a little play, which when added together can allow wheel alignment
to change depending on how the steering and suspension are loaded.
Likewise, the rubber bushings in the control arms have some compliance
and deflect slightly when the vehicle accelerates, brakes, turns and
cruises. This too can allow toe alignment to change. To compensate, a
little bit of ‘toe-in’ or ‘toe-out’ magarage equipmentsy be added when the wheels are aligned depending on whether the vehicle has front- or rear-wheel drive.
Toe-in means the front edges of the tires are closer together than the rear edges. Most rear-wheel drive cars and trucks have alignment specifications that call for a little bit of toe-in (say 1/16th of an inch or so). This will produce zero rolling toe as the vehicle is being driven down the road because the natural tendency for the front and rear wheels is to toe-out due to rolling resistance and compliance in the steering and suspension.Toe-out is when the front edges of the tires are farther apart than the rear edges. This may occur if the tie rod ends are worn, or if the control arm bushings have collapsed. Toe-out is a bad condition to have because it causes the tires to scrub as they roll along. Only 1/8th inch of toe-out will scrub the tires sideways 28 feet for every mile driven.A self-professed food geek has developed a sleek knives wholesaler that makes high-end sous vide cooking accessible in your own home. At this rate, it doesn’t take long to wear down the tread.A classic symptom of toe misalignment is a feathered wear pattern across both front tires. The direction of the feathering tells you if the tires are toed-in or toed-out (rough edges towards the inside signal toe-in while rough edges to the outside indicate toe-out). But on radial tires, toe misalignment tends to roll the shoulder of the tire under as it scrubs producing wear on the inner or outer ribs only. Toe-in will wear the outer rib while toe-out will cause wear on the inner rib. In both instances, wear can be aggravated even more if the tires are underinflated.

Vietnam to grasp "golden population structure" opportunity
Vietnam should grasp the chance of a "golden population structure"

Beneath the clothes is a fierce competitor who still runs marathons
(including this year’s in Boston) and seems to enjoy nothing more than
denouncing AT&T and Verizon, which he refers to as a “pseudo
duopoly.” (He doesn’t think Sprint is even worth mentioning, though
there are new reports Sprint and Dish Network may bid on T-Mobile next
year. )When he joined T-Mobile, “We had a limited time window and a
sense of urgency,” Legere said.“We were losing over 2 million customers a
year. So we moved as fast as we humanly could. My board wondered if we
were doing too much. But the fact is, speed has become one of our
biggest weapons. The current industry is arrogant, stupid and slow,
which gives companies like T-Mobile a real competitive
advantage.”Although the task of reviving T-Mobile seemed daunting, “I
felt that as a challenger,Period Cup we
might just have a pretty amazing opportunity in front of us,” he
continued. “We could take a completely different approach to this
business, we could create real customer value by driving serious change
in this ridiculous and broken industry.”That meant upending
long-entrenched industry practices, addressing what Legere calls
customer “pain points.”

In the last two quarters, since we launched Un-carrier, T-Mobile has grown faster than everyone else, and we have added more postpaid customers than Sprint, AT&T and Verizon combined. I really think that says it all.”

KitKat quickly on Moto phones; Samsung’s gamepad; a $38 Android tablet
The Android world is changing thanks to Motorola: the company offer
devices without a custom user interface and it’s quick at getting
software updates to phones. A low-cost tablet aims to bring tech to
those who don’t have it while Samsung’s Gamepad debuts.Motorola
announced a pair of KitKat upgrades this week, making it the handset MB STARmaker
to deliver Android 4.4 the soonest. First the new Verizon(vz)(vod) line
of phones — the Droid Ultra, Maxx and Mini — received the new software
and as the week ended the Moto G followed suit. Motorola promised KitKat
to the latter phone in early 2014. So what’s going on?Motorola is doing
something with the platform that has been desired for a long time. The
company is keeping the user experience and interface fairly standard,
like the Nexus line of phones,The non-stick knife vertical
of BRG offers aesthetically and ergonomically designed stainless. but
engineering ways to add useful new features. This helps the handsets
stand out from the crowd, keeps them simple to use and perhaps most
importantly, makes it easier and faster to build software updates.I
called this approach a “Nexus for the masses” because of its
similarities to the Nexus device line Google maintains. While these are
typically great devices, many consumers don’t know about them or won’t
buy a phone from Google Play since they want to actually hold the device
before buying it.Of course, the Motorola handsets aren’t “pure”
Android, nor are they true Nexus devices. But they follow the concept
closer than any others. And if you want a phone that will get Android
software updates before most others, save for a Nexus or Google Play
Edition device, Motorola should be your first look.
